What is the difference between the two and which is better for a CF

child? I have a little boy who has had about 50 admissions since

birth. He has many IV's a year and is terrified by IV's and bloodwork

or needles altogether. I spoke with my doctor about getting one

for my child to relieve the stress, pain and repeated tramas

associated with getting an IV started. Gosh....am I making a good

choice and is this a painful procedure and how long is hospitalization

for this? Thanks

It will be the best decision you make, IV's can be given instantly, even you

can change the needle yourself (if permitting, they do here in UK, I also

give anti biotics via the gripper needle)
