Kimber,

I know that you have end stage CP. I just got my medical records from my GI doc

and he says that I have end stage CP. Does that mean that your pancreas isn't

functioning normal or what exactly do they mean by end stage. Thanks

Take Care,

Louie in WV

Louie,

I'm not too clear as what makes one end-stage and what

doesn't. I think the daily pain may be part of this and also

the fact that my only other option besides pain meds is

surgery, all of which don't have a really good success rate

in my opinion. I'll see what I can dig up over the next

couple of days on the internet.

Hi:

Not too long ago, I came across an article via Google that discussed

the staging of CP. It would seem that there is no set rules at this

point. If I can locate it again, I will post the link.

Louie,

I'm doing fine. Been offline because I went to a convention

over the holiday weekend, though I brought my laptop so I

could check on the group, I was too tired at the end of each

day to actually plug it in and turn it on.

So, I hope you are doing as well as can be too.

Actually Worldcon is scifi and fantasy con too. It's not

geared toward any one type of scifi or fantasy though. It

has a lot of panels on writing, discussion various

scifi/fantasy television (Buffy the Vampire Slayer had lots

of panels -which I had to got to). There were quite a few

really good costumes. It's a five day convention. It was

quite a bit of fun. It had some science in it, but mixed

with scifi and fantasy topics. Though Dragoncon sounds just

as good. .:) I used to work for a three day Star Trek and

Doctor Who convention called Timecon. Unfortunately, it was

mismanaged and ended up in the dust.
