We were told that we have to have an air conditioner because it helps them to breath better when it is hot and humid. Hope this helps. Guest guest
, I am getting ready to move back to the Mainland and Wyatt has the VEST so I called the VEST company and asked them what their patients normally do w/ it on the plane. She told me to box it up in it's original box, inclose the brochure and check it on as baggage. I don't know what either the pram or portacot is but maybe you can start by calling those companies and talk to customer service to see what they suggest. Then call the airlines to double check with them! Hope that helps Christy mom of Wyatt 7wcf and Hunter 2 1/2 wocf > hi everyone > , myself and baby Liam are wanting to go on a holiday, we feel that we need a break over christmas. We are thinking of going to Queensland in Australia. Now I just want some advice on holiday destinations, I'm probably being paranoid but nevermind. I heard you guys talking about spa pools harbouring PAs. Well in that respect can we get a hotel unit with a spa as long as Liam dosent go in the water, or will the PAs float into the air and get to him. I know this sounds stupid but I dont really know about it much. What about a heated pool is that OK?? He will be about 4 months when we go. > Another thing, how the hell do you take stuff like a pram and portacot for baby over seas?? Do they let you take such big things in the plane, I have only ever flown with just bag luggage. > Is there certain places that we shouldnt go in regards to holidaying with Laim, what about air conditioning?? You could always skip Queensland and come to Canberra instead.... We don't have beaches, but we also don't have nasty poisonous things that lurk around beaches, and the humidity isn't as bad here. It still gets majorly hot though.... I heard you guys talking about spa pools > harbouring PAs. I haven't personally flown long haul flights with a baby - my understanding is that plane companies provided a limited number of portacots on international flights, so you would have to check early. Is Liam old enough for an " umbrella " stroller (the light weight ones that fold up really small)? > Is there certain places that we shouldnt go in regards to holidaying with > Laim, what about air conditioning?? Does this spread germs around to him and > us? Recycled forced air can carry infectious bacteria - the cooling towers at Melbourne aquarium gave a stack of people Legionella (sp) last year. There is a great hand out (I think I down loaded it from a British site somewhere) about flying with major respiratory illness. Seriously, come and play with us in Canberra. We'd love to see you.
