Yes, we did send all our children, including the one with cf, to public

school. We did it then, and I would choose it now. Inclusiveness is

very important. But then we live in Berkeley, California, which has

great public schools. Had we lived in a less kind, supportive, educa

tionally adequate school district, I cannot say what we would have done.

I myself am the product of both and I HATED private school--loved those

public schools of so long ago. I think that kids need to meet all

kinds of other kids and in this University-centered community that has

been an easy and safe thing to accomplish. I cannot speak for other

locations. I do feel this, though: one does not make a sacrificial lamb\

of one's child for principles; one looks out for the " best interest of the

child. " We hope.
