HI KIM,

I am so happy your PCP issue is resolved. I am still working on mine. I am

determined though. It is nice to hear your comment on the surgeries though.

when you are waiting for something like this, Even though you know the risks,

you need to hear replies like yours. I am so excited. I dont have a date yet,

but I am hoping for late July or early Aug. Praying we will be littermates!!

Thanks! Margie SC

Hi! This is Kim the nurse from Fl. I posted 2 weeks ago about the my

quest for MGB. Thanks to all who allowed me to contact them. I was

the one having a problem with my PCP. Well, I took Darlenes's advice

and had another appointment with her. I took several letters from my

contacts and my patient manual and to my surprise she said sure I

will follow you. My jaw dropped to the ground. Just 1 month earlier

she had said she didn't advocate any WLS. I did like Darlene said and

had told her I was determined that this was for me and that my GYN

Dr. had already written a letter of support and that he would also

follow me. She said she could see that I had really researched this

and being a nurse I know all the risks associated with surgery. I am

getting the final things together in my packet. I already have my

insurance approval BCBS of Fl so I am hoping to be with some of you

all in late July or early August.

On the posts about the Mgb death, I am a recovery room nurse and we

do about 30 surgeries a day. There are risks with every procedure.

Every human body is different. We have to educate ourself and make

informed decisions about our health. This group is soooooooo

wonderful for answering questions but it is still your decision.

Thanks for letting me ramble on but I am so excited that this might

really happen for me.

Margie,

I'll be praying also that we can be littermates. My husband just let me

read the letter he wrote for my support letter. It brought tears to my eyes

as many of these posts do. I can't believe this may really happen for me in

the near future.

Kim,

Thanks, I just did what you did and passed along what I had learned from

this wonderful group. Good Luck and it won't be long now.
