Guest guest
I tried it with my kids and my UC son got D from it. Home made does not have this effect on him... I believe it is said to be the pectin that is in the processed applesauce. When you make homemade, you peel the apples (where most of the pectin is) before you cook them - in mass producing I believe they just filter them out somehow. I could be wrong, but there was definitely a huge difference between the two and how my son reacted. Apple products were very suspect when Elaine was researching commercial products. If you go ahead anyhow, watch for any new unwelcome symptoms like loose stools or rashes. I would still advise others to make their own. I know how much we want convenience foods, but it's not always worth it in the long run. Carol F. Carol F.
