Tricia,

I flew back to WY. 4 days post op and was fine. Just keep a bottle of dilute

Gatorade close. I did best if I had a little something in my tummy instead

of it being totally empty.

HI Tricia,

I alternate from being completely feeling wonderful to feeling kind of

yucky. Each day is a new experience. Sometimes, I get a little

frustrated, but I am sure with time that will dissipate.

Hello, ~

I was raised in a lil town called Gridley. It's close to

Bloomington-Normal. I met my hubby at college (he attended ISU and I

went to Wesleyan). We moved to his stomping grounds which is in the

Northwest part of the state. We live in Freeport...about 40 minutes

west of Rockford and about 15 minutes south of the Wisconsin border.

What parts did you live in? Are you pre- or post-op? If post-, can you

let me know how traveling by air went for you?

Dear Tricia,

I am a pre-op, so I can't answer your question about air travel. I grew up

in Arlington Heights, lived in Will and DuPage Counties (Naperville &

Westmont). My dad is still in Arl. Hts. My hubby and I camped in Lena

several yrs. ago, which, I believe, is near Freeport, isn't it?

I have several friends who graduated from ISU; I visited there several

times when they were students (many yrs. ago). It was a really nice college

town.

Best wishes on your journey!

And yes, Lena is close to Freeport...about 10 miles separates them.
