I think you have a good idea - certainly it is difficult to use the

archives, and often confusing because of the differing opinions. A database

with what essentially could be a summary of peoples experiences would be a

great starting point for someone newly diagnosed.

I have been reading posts for a while now and am always interested to hear

when people mention something similar to what I have experienced. I too

can't help wondering if there are groups of people with similar histories

and traits that would be more likely to respond to the same treatments.

Could your testimonials idea be changed to provide profiles with the

following information?

-male or female

-mild, moderate or severe rosacea

-age of onset

-where rosacea occurs ie cheeks, chin, nose etc.

-description of types ie flushing, papules, pustules, inflammation

-In hindsight - any indicators of the problems now present ie past sunburn,

frostbite, overuse of products

-history of acne or other skin problems

-dry skin, or oily

-hormonal information

-body temperature regulation (ie response to cold or warm environment)

-response to exercise (both skin and body temperature)

-climate where you live (ie how much influence do sun, wind, cold have)

-good health, some health problems, significant health problems

-allergies

-autoimmune diseases

-personal triggers

-what works for you, or did work in the past

I guess that would be a lot of info, and I'm not sure which factors would be

used to form groups. Any opinions, ideas? Is there any hope of finding

some common ground with at least a few other red faces?

1- A searchable database of popular OTC and prescription products

that cea sufferers have used with success.

2- Complete list of ingredients for all products

3- Testimonials of cea sufferers regarding the product(s)/treatment(s)

they used with success along with the following:

A) The stage of cea when beginning product use

B) Their specific symptoms

C) Their product/treatment regimen

I think feature #3 would be INCREDIBLY useful because in my opinion

those with similar symptoms and at similar stages may benefit from the

products that others have found useful.
