Guest guest
I put in a call to my GI to see if he will tell me over the phone why he wants me to go to Indiana (and who) vs going to UAB. I told them I am willing to keep my appt next week and come in person if necessary but that seems sort of stupid. I didn't hear back fromthem today but maybe tomorrow. After I hear his reasoning, I will pray for guidance and try to make a decision. Thanks, Re: Re: To: Lily from , If I were you, I'd be tempted to go to Indiana, but only if you were to see Dr. Lehman or a trusted co-worker of his. Many here in the group have recommended Dr. Lehman (He's a known quantity). Surgery is a big step, don't let anyone fool you into thinking it's a quick fix. Recovery from surgery is quite a while. If I were you, I'd want to see all my non-surgical possibilities first. Second, you don't know why the GI wants you to go to Indiana and it might be a good idea to find out. If it's not a good reason, you can always decide to go the UAB route after seeing your GI. (No reason you can't do both.). Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
, hope you hear from the GI soon. Let us know what his reasoning is and what you decide to do. We all here for a sounding board if you need one in making your decision too. Hope you have pain free (or relatively pain free at least) night. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
Kimber, I will let you know when I hear from the GI. I may end up having to keep the appt next week just to hear what he has to say! I was sleeping but woke up. I am really having increased nausea but its' getting better so I think I can go back to sleep soon. I hope cause I have to get up at 4:30 if I'm going to work in the morning.
