Guest guest
Hi e, I 'm doing real good today/ No more " discomfort " Vanilla yogurt is Yum I eat about a quter cuo 2-3 x a day.(with the liquid seems to be ok as long as I go slow!) I have not started the bulk protein but I am managing to do cITRUCEL WITH NO PROBLEMS. When dod you start the whey and others...? I stared Vitamin A and E on top of the other essential meds..... Its quite tolerable certainly outweighing the benefits. I m soooo excited! I slept on my side no problems and in fact it got all the excess gas out......... Hows your energy level? I try to take my carafate when I wake up in the middle of the night or else I feel I dont have enough time to drink liquids and take my pills during the day. Well time to get my youngest to school. I'm glad you are doing well now, and also that the experience in the hospital was pleasant for you. I, personally, wanted to get out of there as soon as possible! To be exact, I was there 25 hours! It would have been one less, except that Dr. R came by at 6:30 a.m and by 7:00 when I told the nurses I was ready to go, it was shift change so I had to wait another hour. > > I have been doing well. I have had very little pain (and only in the first day), no nausea, no reflux, and none of that awful post-op hunger some people seem to have. Getting in all the supplements can be challenging at first. I have found it is easier to make two " smoothies " per day -- one in the evening and one in the morning -- including all the supplements -- creatine, glutamine, citrucel, and whey protein -- I add all these with 1/3 cup non-fat plain yogurt, a splash of juice, and some kind of fruit (bananas, peaches, strawberries). I toss in a little ice and blend it well in the blender. It doesn't even need sweetening because the whey and citrucel are already sweetened. Just be careful and drink SLOW because it makes about 8 ounces. I usually " sip " on it over a couple of hours. > > How are all the other recent post-ops doing?
