Guest guest
Hi! The fever is the pits, but so affective. Ben (16) was feverish, 100-02, for 13 days. Functioned pretty well with it, but ill. Then, after we introduced quite a bit of probiotics, 102-104 for two days. I have to say, I didn't expect it. It was stressful for us. After that his acne, which was fairly light, disappeared. He skin looks like a baby's behind! LOL Except for the upcoming whiskers, that is. Hair looks awesome. Better mood, more flexibility. Little things changed. And it's just as exciting when they are teenagers as when they are small. It's your son! So, I guess what they say, be grateful for the die-off, you are on to something. It's true. Hang in there. It's a good thing. Lorraine > > Hello Everyone, This is day 13 of scd for us. My son riley initially > had a huge die off at day 3 where he was limp for several hours and > then was fine. Guest guest
Thanks Lorraine, I am so stressed right now. He just acted like he was going to throw up but didn't. So I probably have 2-3 days of this. Ugh. Did you give anything for the fever or just let it go. I haven't given anything thinking it would kill off the bacteria faster. > > > > Hello Everyone, This is day 13 of scd for us. Guest guest
, It's really difficult to pinpoint what might be going on without knowing what he is eating. Can you tell us how you started the diet (intro?) and what he is eating and how it is prepared? Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/

Guest guest
Rileys diet has consisted of meats (chicken, steak, turkey) and he has been having watermellon, strawberries, grapes, peaches (peeled) and raisins. I did try and introduce the peanut butter cookies on sunday. Preschool said he got a 1/2 of a choc chip cookie on monday that he grabbed off someones plate. Would that cause this? He drinks half pear juice/half water or half grape juice half water. > > , > > It's really difficult to pinpoint what might be going on without > knowing what he is eating. > > Can you tell us how you started the diet (intro?) and what he is > eating and how it is prepared? > > > Jody > mom to -7 and -9 > SCD 1/03 >

Guest guest
I am just another mom, but we had fevers too....all of us. My husband and I are eating this way too...as " adults " we also had irritability and " defiant " behavior, along with our poor kids......we are still on a roller-coaster...one thing for certain...it gets better....on day 24 and some how surrvived. During different parts of the day we feel sick...and then three hours later well again...and then a couple later....sick....it is so much fun...but we are seeing the benefits! KiKi our ASD daughter is talking for the first time in her 22 month life...already up to five words and wanting to sign!!!!....didn't talk until this SCDIET, and she wouldn't participate in therapy, shutting down and closing out the world....we have lots of hope now! Our son 's rage attacks and tantrums are much, much less, and our other infant Xena, no longer has a bloated tummy and is less fussy! We where all LIMP and thought we where going to die! My husband prayed to the porcelain GOD! The bath room was a popular place for all of us...went through more diapers than you can imagine...having two in them.....Hot baths help a ton! As for the parents...we are " behaving " better also...and don't feel as sick! Antoinette (hang in there...we are....and it is paying off BIG!) (SCD entire family/Celiac, malabsorption problems, ASD, ADD, ADHD, past history of anxiety disorder, depression, mental illness...and many other neurological probs related to a damaged gut!) fever w/ die-off Hello Everyone, This is day 13 of scd for us. My son riley initially had a huge die off at day 3 where he was limp for several hours

Guest guest
Raisins are an advanced food and shouldn't be eaten early in the diet. We recommend starting with the intro diet and slowly adding new foods, keeping a food log. In the beginning it is best to peel and cook all foods, with the exceptions of ripe bananas and avocados. It is also possible that he has contracted an illness of some sort. It's still that time of year here where many people are ill and germs are everywhere. I generally do not use anything unless it gets above 103 which it isn't but I'm just checking in case it were to go up this evening. Guest guest
about fever. regardless of cause, you should never wait until fever is high to try to decrease it . any fever that gets to 101.5 or more needs lots of fluids and a warm/tepid bath maria. mom to fiol 15mo asd
