Guest guest
Well, Friday and Saturday I had some low-intake days, 450 calories Friday, only 250 Saturday. So I made up for it Sunday and pigged out. I went grocery shopping hungry (yes, I know better than to do that . . .) I stopped at Pizza Hut and ordered a personal pan pizza, Supreme, before I hit the grocery, and it was done when I finished shopping. I had been thinking about the Pizza since before I left home. I tore that box open like a woman crazed. I ate a 1/4 slice pretty fast with no trouble. I waited about 5 min. and ate another 1/4 slice. Fortunately, on the way in the house, I put the pizza on top of one of my grocery sacks and managed to drop the pizza box, which of course came open, into the cat's box on my way through the utility room into the house. Undaunted, I had to try the Nature Valley Crunchy Cinnamon Granola bars I bought during my famine shopping trip. Ohmygoodness, they are SOOOOOOOOOOOO good -- crunchy and tasty, and they gave *no* problems to the stomach. I ate 4. Later, I had some ham on crackers. I've wanted ham since the day after my MGB. Fat-free ham seems to be almost a perfect food, too. Low in calories and fat, high in protein. All in all, though, I had an 1100 calorie day. In the MGB veteran's world, that's a humdinger. But if you think about it, how many times have we all been on a 1200 calorie " diet " and it was impossible? Now, it's a feast. This is terrific. Thank God I only bought one box of Granola bars, though. Kind regards,

I agree though it's yummy! I can only handle a slice now though, but it satisfies. I've found I'm picky about where I get pizza from now since I can only eat a little bit. So the pizza landed in the cat's box huh? Back in my days of dieting if I needed to throw food out so I wouldn't eat it I would put it in the trash and put kitty litter on top of us just to be sure I wouldn't have second thoughts! lol. {{HUGS}} Claire MGB 4/10/00 300/259.5 Yippeeeee 15.25 inches lost forever!! But by the second set of two, I was so full from having eaten so much yesterday, that I was like a kid coming back from the fair -- bloated. Never wanted to see another granola bar or pizza for that matter. I guess that was my " binge " day. I had another pretty high calorie day today, too, 750, but not as bad as yesterday! > Too funny about the pizza. I agree though it's yummy! I can only handle a > slice now though, but it satisfies. I could eat two of the personal pan pizza slices (they're small), which is about the same as one normal pizza slice, but I had to wait a few minutes between the two pieces and couldn't eat all the crust from the second piece because I was too full. >I've found I'm picky about where I get > pizza from now since I can only eat a little bit. I have always liked pizza but I was never one to order it or even think of it, but I'd eat it if someone else came up with the idea. But for about the last week, I *really* wanted some pizza for some reason. And it was good, too. But now, I don't want any. I'm dealing with " head hunger " issues -- a compulsion to eat that has nothing to do with being hungry. One example being that when I would go shopping (before surgery), if I bought foods just because " that sounds really good, " invariably, I would have tried some or all of them by that night. I couldn't just put them in the cabinets and fridge and get around to them. Often, I couldn't just eat one or two of whatever it was, either, it would be the whole thing. A bag of chips, for example, or a whole wrapper of crackers, or 15 or 20 cookies. I tried to do that to a certain extent yesterday, which is how I ended up eating 4 granola bars after the pizza, as well as some ham. The difference was that it *really* did leave me feeling bloated and too full, and totally satiated. I didn't want any of those things today, except some ham. I think I'm relearning, I'm just a slow study. > So the pizza landed in the cat's box huh? Same here!!! Oh, I'm a slave to my habits..... Hugs,
