Guest guest
I was just curious if anyone on the board has had the test for H. Pylori bacteria or candida. If so I was wondering if after being diagnosed with either one, did the treatment (I assume antibiotics) help to get rid of/lessen your rosacea symptoms. I'm really starting to think that there is a link between my rosacea and either h. pylori or candida. Another question, how do you get tested for these? Do you go to a regular doctor Or a GI specialist? Any info/feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Guest guest
I was tested for H Pylori. The test came back negative. Dr. Nase also says in his book that there is no correlation. Its a simple blood test you can have done by your Primary care doctor. Not sure what the treatment is if this is the problem. Candida is alittle more complicated. I believe it is tested by taking a stool sample at home when your symptoms are at their worst. Not sure who would set up this test but would be interested in knowing if you find out. The treatment would be avoiding antibiotics actually.. and a diet w/out sugar, and probably an anti-fungal medicine. If candidiasis is your problem, you would have alot of symptoms other than cea, and you would more than likely have taken antibiotics for quite a while before getting Candidiasis.
