Guest guest
I have a question, does anyone else have a child that doesn't cough? My stepdaughter only coughs when she has pseudo. She has only had it twice and the tobi cleared it up. She never coughs at any other time. Is this odd? She is on Serevent and Pulmozyme. She has mostly G.I. problems and is typically in the hospital once a year (this year twice within two months) because she gets blocked. She has been on a multitude of different diets and meds for the blockages and after following them all for 6 years with no difference we stopped all the meds to try to prevent the blockages and let her eat pretty much whatever she wants. We figured if we are getting the same results with a " normal lifestyle " as opposed to the harsh restrictions following a strict diet and meds that made her stomach hurt all the time she might as well be happy. So far so good (no blockages for 7 months). The doc's keep telling us she should be on Myralax again (it apparently is a miracle drug) but she got blocked 3 times in the year and a half she took it. I feel most comfortable with what we are doing now. In our experience none of the laxative meds or the different diets did anything other than cause her pain, discomfort and hospitalizations. I would also appreciate any tips on kids with most G.I. problems. Thanks! Becky (stepmom to one 9 year old w/cf)
Guest guest
My daughter doesn't have a cough either. That's how we know when she is coming down with something, she starts to cough, a wet cough. Her specialist said you have to work out the tell-tale signs for each child. Some cough alot and some don't. (Australia) Coughing I have a question, does anyone else have a child that doesn't cough? My stepdaughter only coughs when she has pseudo. When my girls start coughing I start to worry. Also if they have a little drizzle of a runny nose. That is another sign that they have PA.
