The MGB surgery is different from the Roux-en-Y (or RNY). I feel, from the

research that I have done, that the MGB is safer and a better choice for me

than the RNY. There is a lot of information on the RNY and the RNY vs. the MGB

I was a self-pay. You need to bring a certified check for $3455 for Dr.

Rutledge, $11,000 for the hospital, and at least $600 for the

anesthesiologist. I used my credit card for that one. The total cost for

it turned out to be $792 for me. I still don't know about the hospital yet.
