Hi! Amy from Iowa again. We use Mannatech products and have heard 3

testimonials from families with children with cf. One parent of a 4-yr-old

little boy around the Des Moines area and another actually not children, but

adult person with cf who uses the products and has awesome results. We have

so far only tried the glycobear vitamins and plan to add the other two

products here soon. We too were sceptacle, but kept hearing so much that by

the time we heard from the third person we felt we should look into it. Why

we just tried the glycobears first was to start slow since we were

apprehensive, but he has been using those instead of ADEKS for over 6 months

now and just had his vitamin levels tested and they came back normal. The

people we buy from are not that knowledgable about the products so we have

been looking for someone who knows better what to recommend and such. It

sounds like you might have had that contact. My friend who has her master's

degree in human nutrion looked over the ingredients and said they were all

safe. Our cf dietician alo knows that our son uses them and doesn't have a

Alternative Treatments

I have been reading the posts about herbs and alternative treatments.

Has

anyone tried, or heard of the Mannatech line of products? They

specialize

in glyconutrients. I had a gentleman at the company I work for approach

me about these products. He then put me in touch with a CF mother in

Texas, who absolutely swore by these products. Because of this line of

products, her daughter no longer need enzymes or CPT and all in all CF

was

no longer a part of their daily lives. I was a little weary, this

sounded

too good to be true and like a heck of a sales pitch to me. The

products

are fairly expensive (in my opinion). The woman in Texas said to stick

with it a year and you should see amazing results. Does anyone know

anything about these products? The products he suggested for my

daughter

was, ambrotose and phytaloe.
