Some have milk added later in the process but it's not easy to tell from the label. Friendship is widely available and is legal. Guest guest
Sherri, There are directions for making yogurt in the oven on pecanbread.com. http://www.pecanbread.com/goatyogurt.html If you are making cow's yogurt, there are options for store-bought brands of yogurt to use a starter on breakingtheviciouscycle.info. Click on the Yogurt link. Buying yogurt starter actually costs less per quart than using store-bought yogurt unless you are going to make very large quantities. Most of the store-bought brands are only available in the quart size. So, since you use just 1/4-1/2 cup at a time, the yogurt goes bad before you can use all of it as a starter. The GI ProHealth Start is the most cost effective starter than I know of. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
