Jenise,

I have never heard of this, but I sincerely hope that it helps... and

would be very interested to hear how well you do after the ERCP.

Since I am probably going to have to have another one before my

surgery in October.

I will look around in my resources and see what info I can find on

this product, did they give you any literature about it? If not

whatever I find I will send your way.

I wish you the very best and will be praying that everything goes

well for you with the ERCP and this new line of combat for the panc

attack!

Many, many {{{HUGZ}}} and prayers.

I have not tried that particular drug but I was in a study once where they

used antibiotics before the procedure. I was more than willing to cooperate

if it would work. I think the results were mixed in that study but they are

always investingateing better drugs, strategies.

Jenise,

Just a short reply as I am pressed for time, so sorry.

When I went to see Dr. lehamn in Indy for a possible ERCP this past summer,

they were doing the Interleukin study as well. Actually they were very

active in the study. He told me that they were getting very promising

results and that the incidence of pancreatitis had decreased with the

Interlekin. I personally would strongly consider having the Interleulin

injection before a ERCP. So far I have been blessed with still having a

choice of having an ERCP or notr, but if I am ever in that situation I would

really think aboit it. Just ask them what the worst side effects are. And if

they are not as bad as having a pancreatitis attack, what could you lose ?

Wishing you a painless ERCP,

Lily
