Guest guest
I don't often eat red meat, but I've had it twice in the last week and have noticed that the morning after, my face is less red. Is there a link? I'm wondering if perhaps I'm iron deficient or something. Thanks.
Guest guest
Hi, I've noticed that this is the case for me as well. I don't know if it's simply that I've got added iron and B vitamins, and stress doesn't become a trigger as easily. Stress is a big trigger for me. I know that meat-based sources of iron are better absorbed by the body than non-meat. Also red meat has the highest amount of iron among meats (besides liver of any kind, yuck!). Or it could be that undiscovered phytochemicals that are helping. I remember that this issue was brought up in the past and some people found red meat useful and others didn't. Again, I guess this is an individual thing. Lastly, I have to add that when I eat other sources of protein other than red meat, I do stay away from processed foods or histamine- releasing foods. I do that when I eat red meat as well, so it was easy for me to observe that red meat was helping. I don't know if that helps, but you're not alone in noticing this. Take care, Matija > I don't often eat red meat, but I've had it twice in the last week > and have noticed that the morning after, my face is less red. Is > there a link?
