Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I done colonoscopy twice. The first was before my dx of pancreatitis, because I was having abdominal pain and diahrrea. The second was when my dx of pancreatitis was just done, but my GI doc was prone to check it again. Well, this is not a pleasant test, but I know people that feel nothing. I had problems with sedation, I had dizzy, nausea, vomiting a lot in both times. I had to use a special medication after the procedure to get ride the situation (antagonist), I also had a bout of hipoglicemia. The first result was melanosis and the second was micro hemorrhagic areas ( I have anal fissures). Look I think that if your doc asked for this test, it´s necessary to check if you are not having some kind of intestinal problems. Yes, I know, I also became very scared, but it´s better to be sure that you really are OK than to have any doubt. By the way, if you think that it´s not necessary, call your doctor and explain your fears. Feel free to ask for more information.
