Guest guest
Sheila, Thanks for the quick response. J's been on a restricted diet - very close to SCD - for ten years plus. When the dr recommended this we started with the intro and reintroduced most foods fairly quickly. He hasn't had any bm troubles in years, can eat cooked and/or raw of almost anything legal he likes. We're extremely fortunate that his food preferences have grown enormously over the decades. He loves most fruits (esp bananas - one/day) and vegetables. The chronic problems are yeasts and leaky gut. Since SCD there's been no symptoms of yeast and he's absorbing food and meds much better. Unfortunately, because his med load is pretty high he drinks a lot of water (>9 cups) and I think that's washing the electrolytes out of his system. Between supplements (calc, mag, bicarb), food (potas, phos) and epsom salt baths, his intake is in fact pretty high. Beyond adding table salt (dr recommends) I'm not sure what else to do. -------------- Original message ----------------------
