flaring badly again, what about these???

hi everyone,

well, my flare has gone into its severe stage. i've consumed almost 10 vicodin

in 2 days. i'm really sore and red as usual. my eyes are also suffering badly. i

can not even lay down or sleep. i'm in a depressed mode again, more from being

fed up that nothing helps me and i'm so handicapped by this. so far the only

thing worse then this was the acne i used to have....

anyway, i'm now wanting to try everything. i've read an re-read dr. nase's book.

some things i want to try are:

Clarithromycin. he said it was the best anti-biotic (i've never heard of it

before) and especially since i can't use the " normal " ones because of photoderm

treatments.

Monoxodine. the anti-hypertensive drug. it says it reduces hormonal flushing. i

have very bad hormonal problems (extremly high androgen levels...which caused my

severe cystic acne). my androgen levels are 3 times normal. had an MRI..only

found enlarged cystic ovaries (PCOS). haven't had a period in over 2 years. i

only take Aldactone (also an anti-hypertensive) to treat all the hormonal stuff

and do not see any doctor for it.

lastly benadryl? people say it helps swelling, redness and maybe my eyes.

i just want to know if i can take some benadryl now...i've never used it before

and i'm scared to death of making my rosacea worse OR CAUSING acne. does anyone

know the answer to that???

i'm going to try and go back to my HMO...they aren't very helpful (Kaiser

Permanente) they just wanna give me tetracycline although they are truley

impressed by how bad my flare-ups are.

does anyone have any suggestions or has taken benadryl?
