I have been told by my Primary care doc, two dermatologists, and my resident

pharmacist (dad) that its not really important to taper off antibiotics, and

quitting cold turkey after two years wont induce a flare. I know this is

very wrong, as I experienced a really bad flare when I tried to get off

Minocycline a few months ago. I say this because even though people might

tell you you wont flare, I guess its always a possibility. However, that

being said, even I would be absolutely shocked if stopping 50mgs of

minocycline after only 10 days caused you any sort of a flareup at all. 50

mgs is a particularly low dose (I was taking 100mgs 2x daily), and after ten

days I don't think you have even built up a blood level yet (any improvement

in acne while on the minocycline was probably purely coincidental at that

point)

, why not see your physician and allow him/her to make a

proper diagnosis? A blood test will diagnose if you're suffering from

a lupus-like drug reaction.
