Guest guest
" How are people using this enzyme for phenol sensitivity? How often do you give it -- with or without food, etc. " You give it before the food is going to be eaten. The capsule can be swallowed whole, or the contents can be mixed in something and then eaten. No Fenol also has the ability to help with yeast. To use it for this, it needs to be taken without food. To read more about it, go to: http://www.enzymestuff.com Also, there is a Yahoo! Guest guest
What is phenol sensitivity? We have been eating SCD for almost a year (with some admited cheating, that caused us some set backs!) this was due to Celiac Disease, we now realize that two of our kids had/have autism related issues. We are trying to go the extra mile to have the best healing in our home. At this time the improvements have been remarkable. Yet we are trying to learn more, in order to help them to go into complete remission. Thanks if someone can reply, Antoinette No-Fenol How are people using this enzyme for phenol sensitivity? Guest guest
My kids phenol reactions were that their faces and ears would flush bright red and feel hot to touch. Then, they would become wildly hyper, running through the house chasing each other and purposefully crashing into the furniture, walls or each other. They would talk loud and fast as well. Not a pretty picture. We avoided phenols until the No Fenol enzyme came out. We tried it and it worked. That really allowed us to expand their diets to include fruits again. After a while on SCD (not sure the timeframe, sorry), the sensitivity has gotten better and now they can eat the foods that previously caused the reaction that I described and nothing happens. (With the exception of the dark red cherries, as I mentioned.) Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/

Guest guest
The very red, rough skin on cheeks, crazy behaviors after eating, and circles under the eyes are all signs I am thinking k may have a phenol intolerance. Also, stimming has come back but, not as bad. I have tolerated it well and didn't notice until yesterday. Guest guest
If I am restricting foods high in phenolic content, would you give no-fenol before each meal as a backup because he seems to be so sensitive to this? Guest guest
Honestly, I would try the No Fenol and see if he can tolerate phenolic foods so that he could have a better variety in his diet. Read the information on the enzyme website about how to use the No Fenol. http://www.enzymestuff.com Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
Guest guest
New to SCD but not enzymes or No-Phenol. My son was very sensitive and would get red ears when he ate certain foods, particularly carrots. With no-phenol before those foods (1/2- 1 capsule), he could eat them with no problems. After about six months we were able to stop with the No-phenol but still use other enzymes.
