stomach pain--any connection?

Like I have mentioned earlier, my nose occasionally becomes red in

color, and it has done this for abaout 5 months now. The cold is a

big trigger. Well lately, the left side of my stomach, right below

my rib cage has been hurting at random occurences. It is a sharp

pain that usually lasts for about 5 seconds and goes away. Does

anyone have any idea what this is?
