RE: crossroads with scd/ too much meat in diet

My son was in a smililar situation. At 15 months, Graham would

eat 3 hot dogs for lunch. He craves protein - peas, lima beans,

lentils, and especially meat. Just be wary of anything that your

child craves, for us it usually meant that there was a problem with

that food. FWIW, we are doing low protein, no nut SCD due to

elevated ammonia issues and he is doing much better cognitively.

I do not think it is unhealthy at all, yes a diet needs to have balance but

if meat is what his body is needing right now, give him meat. Do continue

to find sneaky ways to slip veggies in and if constipation is an issue I

would try adding a bit more fat. Don't let him just eat lean meats, that is

dangerous.
