Guest guest
Are strawberries legal? I can't seem to find them listed anywhere now. And . . . I've been feeding my 10 month old mainly pears because I know she can tolerate them. (I'm soooo afraid to try anything else since she reacted violently to chicken, can't seem to handle apples, and now I'm suspecting bananas too.) If I continue feeding her pears all the time, won't this lead to an intolerance to those too? Thanks, ~Terri

I'm not sure > why. Strawberries are also a strong histamine releaser (or something like that), so if any kind of allergy (at least IgE allergies) reaction might be going on, strawberries will often make it worse even if you aren't allergic. For example, if you recently had or currently have hives or eczema, eating strawberries could worsen the condition even if you don't have an allergy to them. Of course, one can be truly allergic to strawberries as well. I just remember that my dermatologist BIL told me to stay away from them during a hive outbreak.
