Guest guest
I know what you guys mean...this is why we pulled our son out of pre-school and now home school...the teacher just couldn't get it (and this is when it was " just " gluten)...plus my son is so allergic to gluten/celiac disease...just play doe made him have a dermatitis herpetiformis (DH/Celiac Related gluten condition) attack!. After the neighbors saw KIKI end up in the hospital after just eating " gluten free " rice...they are slowly getting it! As for our son....they have personally witnessed his mood swings and rage attacks... after eating something he shouldn't! They are slowly getting it...yet I find that the kid's no longer ask him to come and play anymore.....so sad in light of him acting better...will have a talk with them .....It is nice to know that your dogs are also grain free (EVO)....we took grain out of their diet seven months ago.....even our cat is feeling better...no joke....he was just taken off his prednisone for his " auto-immune disease " that literally caused all his teeth to fall out of his head...the poor thing...he too eats a grain free cat food (brand EVO) and has gained weight...he was " anorexic " too! I wish they made a SCDIet dog food/cat food...we all would buy it! Many of us could benefit from such lessons in cooking SCDIET foods! Honestly the hardest thing for me > has been the reactions from outsiders and the insistence to give my son > something off the diet! It's very frustrating. How would you deal with outsiders who questioned a diabetic diet, a weight loss diet, for yourself? Is the difficulty over the fact that it's for your child? I actually have the problem of illegals when people offer my dogs grain treats which we always decline. They respect my refusal. > BTW: How many people think they would be helped by a DVD of SCD Cooking lessons? I have suggested this to some of our cooking class instructors and it may be under consideration. If such a thing were made what are the types of recipes that would be most helpful? Carol F.
