Guest guest Posted December 3, 2002 Report Share Posted December 3, 2002 You can formally apply in writing for a 504 accomodation plan or equi- valent; this is federal and state law; they must accomodate to the chro nicly ill and the handicapped. You should also get a letter of medical necessity from your child's doctor--I would recommend refreshing him by reminding him of your child's needs--inwriting--not being penalized for absences, liberal bathroom privileges, etc. Good luck!
