can become damaged and lead to rosacea. ( I odn't know if that is the correct

way to say this ) but he says for example

" one rosacea sufferer ( what an appropriate word ) may have had severe sun

damage that has made his/her facial blood vessels unable to handle any bouts of

blushing or flushing "

" a fifth rosacea sufferer may have been born with his/her facial vessels too

close to the skin surface "

" a sixth rosacea sufferer may have chronically irritated his/her skin with

facial cleansers to suh an extent that he/she has damaged the vessels through

chronic bouts of low-grade inflammation "

this is what at least 2 derms thought had happened to my skin.

anyway, I was wondering it the treatment and the progression though the stages

of development would depend on how the rosacea got started.

For example, would the sun worshipper who has damaged blood vessels necessarily

respond to the typical treatment in the same way as someone who has damaged

blood vessels through say, overuse of topical steroids?

Has any studies ( even anecdotal ones ) been done to see if there is a link

between how the rosacea may have been provoked and how it is best managed. Or is

it so complex, that I, for example damaged my blood vessels by a combination of

sun exposure ( guilty as charged ), and over use of cleaning products etc (

guilty as charged ) .

or is such a notion completely absurd, since the bottom line is, that we have

damaged blood vessels.

Would love some feedback

Have a great weekend
