Janice,

If you go to clinic and don't do the one on one with Dr. Rutledge then

there is no charge. If you want to meet with him one on one then your ins.

is charged $255.00

This is what Debbie told me by email.

Hope this helps.

If you see someone without a smile,

Give them one of yours.

If you and I should meet and

you forget me, you have lost nothing.

If you meet JESUS and you forget him,

you will have lost everything.

Hi Janice,

You only have to attend one clinic and the cost is $255 you have to

get insurance approval for this visit unless you are going to self-

pay. Some people go to more than one but you're only charged for

that one and you do see Dr. R. in group and Dr. R./Patient. No exam

or anything just talk. Depending where you live some people schedule

clinic on Tuesday and have surgery the same week hang out in Durham

until the next Tuesday and go to clinic and have their staples out.

Then head home. I went to clinic April 29 and didn't have my

surgery until 6/2. I live 2 hours away so I didn't mind making a

second trip. I wanted to attend clinic before I actually made my

final decision to have the surgery!! Hope this helps!

Dear Margie (& Kay),

The amounts you were told were on-target. I self-payed two weeks

ago. Upon arrival in Durham, you need a certified check for the

hospital ($11,000) and for Dr. R (~$3,455, I believe). As far as

anesthesia goes, you can take care of that before you go. They

require $600 up front (I took care of it over the phone with a credit

card.) and they bill you the rest. They sent the bill quickly I

might add :) I recieved my bill several days ago. My total was $848

(minus the 600 already paid) for my procedure which lasted 49

minutes. I haven't checked with the hospital yet but am hoping to

get at least $1,000 back but we shall see. By the way, I was in and

out in 24 hours and I am doing fine. The hardest part of recovery

for me may very well be the financial part!

Best of luck to you,

Kris
