, Is this an individual policy? If it is usually we will be

excluded because of our weight. My girlfriend just had her policy

revoked (I believe she told me it was State Farm) because they found

out how much she weighed through some PCP records they requested on

the removal of a cyst. In order for you to get by this you need to

enroll under an unmbrella group in which the insurance co. is

required

to take anybody in the group. Alot of us up here are in a group

maybe

under a chamber of commerce or a small business association. In

order

for you to do this you need to have a small business of some sort,

even if it is a home business. Then they cannot deny the coverage.

Check into it very carfully before you enroll in an individual policy.

just an FYI

> I just rec' an policy packet from State Farm (where we have our

auto

ins) and as far as I can see there is no mention of weight loss or

weight loss surgery mentioned in the exclusions. I am getting ready

to

call my agent and see exactly what their policy will not cover just

to

be sure. Has anyone ever used State Farm Health Ins and been approved

or denied? Please let me know soon, I will be calling in about 45

minutes when she returns from lunch.

Hi Margie,

The only thing I see is

1. Cosmetic surgery , unless caused by injury or by a congenital anomaly in a

newborn child who is a covered person at time of birth

and

2. Any sickness or injury for which symptoms existed or medical advice or

treatment was recommended or received within a five year period preceding the

coverage effective date unless fully disclosed on the application and not

excluded by endorsement.

Well.......what do y'all think??

Angie

Angie,

Let me know what State Farm says! I have called them and asked for a health

policy information booklet and they never sent it. I would love to know what

they say? will you ask them if it is covered?? keep me posted1 thanks xoxoxo
