FRUSTRATING, to say the least. I would take a list of meds that your reg. doc gives and show the weekend docs. My doc/s group also has " on-call " docs at night!!! I have learned to go the the ER during the week, between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. They are all caught up from the night and I usually get right in, and they can track down my doc fairly easily. I know you can't always predict attacks, but I try to " plan " when to go to the ER! Cecilia Cecilia soce@... Guest guest
can you guys give me some insight into what sends you to the ER? My primary care Nurse Practitioner would have me go everytime I have a twinge and I think I am having an attack, but I have only gone in two times...should really have gone in the one in June 1997 as that was by far the worst one...but since my 3 (4) major attacks have all been different from one another, it sometimes takes me a while to realize that's what's happening...hindsight is so much clearer than anything else we've got going, eh? Tonight my belly is aching...has been for about a week now. I don't remember how I found out about the Creon, because previously I was taking the stuff you can find in the vitamin stores...I recently learned that the VA carries the Creon, so it will save me a bunch of money...and if they should ever decide to recognize it as service connected, then it will be free. It's pretty expensive drug ! Good night all, I am fading fast,,,my nighttime meds have kicked in !
