Guest guest
Well, I work 12 hour shifts and sometimes it is hard for me to sleep. For 1.5 years I worked seven nights in a row, 12 hrs each night. I think that has really run my system down. Shane

Guest guest
> Anyway, I guess I'm just venting. I don't know > what else to try. I've been on gel and antibiotics > for two months now. Shane --- it's good to vent, but venting alone doesn't fix anything as we all know. I use the simplest format possible I think in trying to stay healthy and keep my face as clear as possible. First, drinks LOTS of water... if you are peeing alot more than usual, your water intake is good. Then, I use wash my face with my hands and Cetaphil gentle liquid face cleanser (it works good)... then I put on my MetroCream and that is all I do for my face. I do that twice a day, sometimes 3 times if my face is feeling unclean. I've only been using the cream a few months, but it has cleared up some of the redness and the rash is completely gone from my cheeks. Right now, I have one pimple or whatever it is on the left side of my upper lip. It showed up a few days ago, and has nothing in it --- it's stubborn in going away. I scratched off the surface of it, and I'm dabbing rubbing alcohol on just that little spot. I see a bit of improvement. I keep it simple, no makeup, no moisturizers and if I need to add moisture, I use Cetaphils moisturizer... to leave the face alone as much as possible I think is good. a
Guest guest
hi shane, i'm wondering why you are going without sleep for 40 hours? going without sleep for that long, and if you do this somewhat regularly, is extremely stressful on the body. extreme redness is essentially a sign of stress. when you are stressed and fatiqued your sympathetic nervous system kicks in and you go on a sort of overdrive. during sleep your body produces all sorts of hormones that keep your system in balance....when you lack sleep, you don't produce those hormones and your body gets out of whack. you say you don't know what else to try, consider ways you could change your lifestyle so that you can get the sleep, balanced meals, etc that you require. creams and medications may help but they really are only superficial remedys that don't take the place of these other things. take care, carrie > From: sburton661@... > Date: Sat, 16 Mar 2002 09:07:09 -0500 (EST) > To: rosacea-support > Subject: Arghhhh! > > Boy am I getting frustrated.
