What do they consider " elective " things that are not medically

necessary????????? Is there a list? Who would know?

Does that make procedures like Carotid endarderectomies( to correct

blockage in the main vessels in the neck) " Elective " because you can

treat that with medication and have outcomes that show longer life

after medical versus surgical treatment? I dont think you can say

because you " elect " that it is elective. Heck you could say the same

about CABG(coronary artery bypass graft) you COULD elect to go on DR

ORNISH's diet.
