You just named my first meal I will have upon returning to new

orleans after my surgery. Even with the celiac block I'm not brave

enough to try popeyes....although my mouth waters all the time for it

as there is one just 1/2 block away from home. Hope your pain free

days continue,

Good luck with your surgery, prayers go with you. After your surgery

and you're better, how about running down to Lonestar or your

favorite steak house and have a 16 oz T-bone for me. :)

-I'll do one better . I'll have the 24oz ateak, baked potato

and sauteed mushrooms. Wish i could say I would have a bottle of red

wine but I'll be content with the real food...painlessly. Have a good

day...off to pack some more.

Doing well so far

Hi all,

At the risk of doing as mentioned in an earlier post

and " jinxing " myself, I just have to say that today makes 28 days out

of the hospital, pain and nausea free. While there were a couple of

times when I held my breath for a couple of hours waiting for

the " other shoe to drop " , everything passed on with no flair ups.

Although I am on TPN, I have been experimenting with weaning myself

back onto solid food. Like I told my GI yesterday, if I don't do it,

how is anyone going to know if and what I can tolerate foodwise. I

have pushed my luck a couple of times; I do love Popeyes chicken and

dirty rice. Other than a couple of splurges, I do try and stick to my

Now Girl, where in the heck are you going to stuff two pounds of medium-rare

beef??

I'll settle for the nine ounces of top-quality filet - but go ahead and pile

on the sauteed mushroom and onion in a merlot and butter demiglaze...

Mmmm... and the loaded BP too, while you're at it... with some butter-sauteed

asparagus shoots and some good crusty baguette. Hmmmm... Okay, where are we

all meeting, and will this be about two weeks after you get out?

Slobber slobber,

PS - I think I'd like to start with some escargot.
