Hi Suzi and others

Sorry people promise wasn't looking for an argument and certainly wasn't trying

to make anyone feel worse. My use of language isn't good so maybe I'm coming

across incorrectly.

Ok why I say what i do about rosacea opionions towards it...

Facial " change " due to rosacea is a fact unfortunately in some cases.

With all due respect just feel that so many doctors have told some to go away

and get on with life and some people have been called vain when trying to

control their triggers. I think Dr Nase emphasised how badly rosacea effected

his life when he compared it to breaking his leg (I think it was his leg or

another limb) anyhow, he was trying to say that this proved that people weren't

just full of self pity and were " weak " people.

Ofcourse some people always stay at the pre-rosacea stage. Some people manage to

get rosacea completely under control and others theirs disappears.....

I think that if doctors didn't just trivialise the disorder then more research

would be made. I truely believe this. If doctors sympathised more they wouldn't

just send us of with a tube of metrogel. It can be depressing when others don't

sympathise and just tell you to go away and get on with it. I discussed the

condition with a Dr recently who said that advancements may be made in the

future but people were only just cottoning on that anti-biotics aren't

sufficient enough treatment.

I don't think self-pity (bad rosacea trigger...) is the way to go and obviously

that's the way I have come across.

Again sorry if I've tangled up emotions rather than opinions. I do think we

should keep each other positive and sorry I've not done that, just I think the

only way people are to take rosaceans seriously is if they have some degree of

sympathy otherwise as I mentionned rosacea is trivialised. I was only referred

to see a derm after a doc said I was at the disfigurement stage.

Ok I will be quiet now again apologies to anyone I have made feel down, wasn't

the intention. As you know though some people's rosacea doesn't progress and I

think I will be quiet from now on.... best to stick with reading DR Nase's book

and reading the rosacea support highlights page :) - much more informative.

Thanks

B

I completely agree with you... I told my husband last night that I was

beginning to find the list upsetting and trying to find a more positive

one... this list has started to make me worry and wonder if some day I was

going to look so bad I wouldn't want to leave the house... that certainly is

not a positive aspect of a mailing support list.
