When I was 17 years old I was 6'ft tall. I am now 32 and 5'9 " . Does anyone

know if the height comes back after the weight comes off? I would really

like to know if any one has gotten taller.

As we age (although 32 is hardly old) our vertebrae normally compress and we

become shorter. I doubt that you will regain the height. I am 5' 2 " and

shrinking, can I have a few inches??? Joanne

I think that as you loose weight that your back will realign, and

straighten up some therefore appearing as if your have grown some.

Your back will curve more to redistribute your weight and center of

gravity, as you gain weight (ever see a pregnant woman's back?). It

is only common sense that it would straighten up some as you get

lighter. You probaly won't regain that much but amy an inch or so.

Memory,

I've been told the disc's in your spine become depressed because of

the heavy

load they carry. That's why some of us lose height.

I don't know if its reversible or not.
