Guest guest
Hi there, My daughter Ainslie mainly has sinus type problems, her anitbiotics are to keep her nose at bay cause once it starts the chest follows. When she was little we were able to literally grab hold of the mucus (with a tissue of course) and pull a string of mucus out of her nose. She hated it but felt much better afterwards. Now she is 10 and still informs me by showing me the strings of mucus that she pulls out her nose - its so gross- but better out than in. Over the years she has had polyps and 3 surgeries to clean them out and last time there was psuedo there. She does tend to have thicker mucus when she is not drinking enough, but trying to get her to keep up the fluids can be difficult - except at the moment she knows that she is getting close to needing surgery again and is drinking quite well.
