Guest guest
Well, we break that image here in our family. My husband is not an engineer: an artist/writer, working in a warehouse to pay the bills. I'm the one that fixes everything...LOL. Guest guest
Thanks for the suggestion . I have thought about getting an excalibur food dehydrator for dehydrating food and making yogurt. I would still make it more or less the same way but not have to worry about the pot with water in it. But my contraption will work for now (now that all the kinks are out ;-) Thanks!! Jody, By the way, when I mention " The super Baby food Book Diet " in my last post, I forgot to say that it was a book on how to make and prepare baby foods like cooking, pureeing and storing and what age to introduce these foods (in infants without GI problems). And yogurt being the wonderful food that it is, is also in there. The jar-in- method is no different than the one on the website from pecan bread that you provided. The milk still has to be heated to kill unwanted bacteria, started added and the right temp provided. The only differeence is the 24 hour fermentation in SCD. The reason I like everything taking place in one container (jar)is so that there is not cross-contamination when the yogurt is placed into another container after the 24 hour fermentation process. BTW - Diet does not refer to " diet " like diet in SCD...it is more of a generic term meaning " food to eat for babies. " Thanks for you help! andrea > > , > Maybe, you should just get a yougourmet yougurt maker... it might be alot simpler. > www.lucyskitchenshop.com > > Agape, >
