Guest guest
Dear H, More exciting that you realize. Try to celebrate the small victories, if you can... You pseudocysts are resolving on their own (no invasive surgery to remove or drain them), a small kidney cyst that the doc said was nothing to worry about at all, (PS.... the cysts on your panc. are all very small, reduced GREATLY in size, rather than enlarged) - the doc says you've pretty much got a " clean " enough bill that he doesn't even need to see you for six months, he thinks they are all showing signs of complete resolution without doing a thing... Your pain meds have been increased without a hitch, a beg, an ER visit without run--in, reduced acetaminophen - better for your liver - Heck, Heidi, it sounds like you should be dancing a jig in the street!!! We should all get such news from our GI! So long as you like and trust him, and feel that he is upfront with you rather than blowing smoke, this is collectively all VERY good news! Sure, he didn't say " You're cured, never come back! " Haha... But... uhhhh... well, I don't hear that one too often. I think we need to throw a PARTY for you, Sister! This is all very good news! I'm very pleased for you!! Perhaps in a day or two, after reading-and-re-reading, you'll feel a bit more celebratory. For now, let me just say that many of my prayers have been answered, I believe many of yours have been too, and I'm extremely pleased with your updated prognosis. When you're ready to accept it - - CONGRATULATIONS!!! Peace & Love, Terry in KC << I had my GI appointment today. It was a brief examination and discussion. My GI felt that the cyst on my kidney that the radiology report just mentioned was nothing to be concerned about, and the doctor was optomistic and pleased with the reduction of my pancreatic pseudocysts. Now that they are all 3 cm. or less in size he says he won't need to see me or CT-scan them again until 6 months from now. He feels they are showing all indications of completely resolving on their own. My appointment with the pain management doctor two weeks ago was relatively unproductive, except for her suggestion to my GI that he increase my pain medications. So he upped the Percocet to 10's. At least the 10's have less acetominaphen than what I was taking before, so perhaps there's still hope for a healthy liver! Certainly not very exciting news, yet this is certainly the kind of news I can live with! With hope and prayers, Heidi >>
