Should be. I wrote off a total of 10 TX's in 1999 and 2000, and the

IRS never challenged it. My accountant wrote off all of my med

expenses including prescription meds and physician copays while I had

PPO coverage. HMO should be the same in the US.

Thanks to all who replied to my question. I doubt I will be able to

deduct any medical expenses given the rules. However, you can be

sure I'm going to hang onto my receipts just in case!
