Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone else's child lost weight at the beginning of the diet. My son lost 3 lbs. He is 6 years old and now weighs 47 lbs. He has a small frame to begin with. Should I be concerned? Thanks Sue 6 yr old APD? Guest guest
Sue, Are you sure that he is getting enough calories? I'd use the links section of this group and input his height/weight/age into the calculator to determine how many calories he needs. Then I'd use fitday.com to see how many calories he is getting. You can adjust his menu based on what you find from doing this. Knowing only his weight and age doesn't allow me to figure out whether he is underweight. The height is needed as well. My 7.3 year old weighs 49 pounds, but is not underweight. Thin, but not underweight. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/

Guest guest
My 6 yr old daughter lost 10 # in the first 2 months. Partly because she was cleaning our I believe and partly bacause she is so picky and wouldn't eat much of anything that I fixed. She has gained 4 of that back and held. I guess I am not worried about it with her unless she starts to loose again and doesn't stop. Sandy M.
