I had 4 photoderms. The nurse who gave them to me told me the

procedure would cause only a temporary loss of some facial hair and

that it would grow back. I did lose about 75% of my facial hair in

the treated areas. I believe the hair loss is permanent. Its now

been 9 months since the first photoderm and over 5 months since the

last treatment and I'm not seeing any regrowth of lost hair. A few

months ago I asked her if this was permanent and she again said no.

But I have since read and seen news shows about photoderm and its

treatment to get rid of unwanted hair permanently (the darker the

hair, the greater the chance of loss - it does not work well on

blond hair). She also told me that I should not take monodox

(doxycycline) for the week prior to treatment because of the photo-

sensitivity.

Take care,
