Guest guest
I had 4 photoderms. The nurse who gave them to me told me the procedure would cause only a temporary loss of some facial hair and that it would grow back. I did lose about 75% of my facial hair in the treated areas. I believe the hair loss is permanent. Its now been 9 months since the first photoderm and over 5 months since the last treatment and I'm not seeing any regrowth of lost hair. A few months ago I asked her if this was permanent and she again said no. But I have since read and seen news shows about photoderm and its treatment to get rid of unwanted hair permanently (the darker the hair, the greater the chance of loss - it does not work well on blond hair). She also told me that I should not take monodox (doxycycline) for the week prior to treatment because of the photo- sensitivity. Take care, > > > Two questions for everyone: > > 1) For men who have had photoderm- did you have a reduction in facial > hair growth? > > 2) Should photosensitive drugs be stopped before photoderm- at my > initial consultation, the nurse told me that I would not have to stop > doxycycline before treatment- has anyone heard differently?
