Guest guest
I like the idea behind this. Chlorine is also a halogen, which as a chemical class, are proven to cause acne. Iodine, is also a halogen. In the paleolithic days, when people showered/washed, there surely was no chlorine in the water. Where do you install the filter, do you install it right at the shower or further before, upstream? How much do they cost and where do you get them? what kind are the best > Chlorine is universally used to control micro-organisms in water and should not be a part of your shower. The American Chemical Society estimates that " Householders could receive from 6 to 100 times more of the chemicals by breathing the air around showers, baths, etc... than they would by drinking the water " . Chlorine chemically bonds with the proteins in our body's cells. Skin is our body's largest organ and entirely chlorine absorbent. Also, chlorine is vaporized in the shower and inhaled into the lungs where it is transferred directly into the blood system and transported throughout the body. > > External symptoms of chlorine exposure are: > > a.. dry and irritated skin > b.. damaged and brittle hair > c.. flaky-itching scalp > d.. redness and burning of the eyes > > > >

Guest guest
www.sprite.com very good basic filter...$40 to$50. www.ewater.com top of the line filter...over $100. Theres no question that sensitive skin does not like chlorine, they have been working on the water lines down the street from me and have been adding extra chlorine to the lines. My skin has become upset since they started doing this....So i'm installing filters through out the house.
