Guest guest
I started an aspirin-free version of Dr. Sy's regimen 3 days ago. I was going to wait until several weeks had gone by before I posted about it, but as ALWAYs my STUPID STUPID skin has other plans.. (I really hate this) Today is day three and tonight my face had this weird reaction (Very noticable.. everyone in my family was commenting on it.. even though they normally say nothing about my cea since they know I'm sensitive about it) I'm not quite sure how to describe it... It looks alot like acne, only some are papules and some are red patches.. kind of like a cross between acne and seb derm almost like an allergic reaction except its restricted to my face. Is this a reaction that is known to occur with any of the three things I recently started taking? Or is this more likely a sebderm/yeast-related flare caused by the Cimetidine (Which someone warned me before I started taking it can flare up Seb Derm) If it is related to sebderm, the sebderm would definitely be playing a much bigger part in my skin problem than I had been led to believe. Also, can I substitute Zyrtec for Chlor-trimeton? All chlor-trimeton seems to do is make my face extra swollen. Rather than chucking this whole thing I want to try to tweak it to get it to work for me. These last three days until tonight have been really great.. My First day on the regimen my sister came up to me and told me my cheeks actually looked normal (almost no hint of cea) and I have to agree with her..for the last three days I've looked close to cea-free. In the last three days, I've only had a total of four flushes! As opposed to an average of 5 or 6 a day or more! Last night I went over to my girlfriend's house (who doesn't have A/C), ate some frozen pizza, had a conversation with her mom, helped fix a TV (physical labor), and drove home, all without experiencing even a minor flush! Just last week this would have been impossible. Until tonight the only downsides i'd noticed is a little bit of swelling from the chlortrimeton and some extra redness at night (although it wasnt flushes.. it would happen without any burning or feeling of warmth without any type of obvious rosacea trigger) Unless this is a typical allergic reaction to one of the meds I can only assume that this means that its flaring up my seb derm (or is three days too soon for it to be doing this?) and that my seb derm is actually responsible for the acne-like rash I've had for the last 9 months as well as some of the more jagged redness on the outside of my cheeks. I hope someone can shed a bit of light on this! I'm so sick of these products working only to then suddenly cause me even more problems than I started with! Its getting old already!!!!!
