Isn't flushing more of psychological reaction? I have read

descriptions about photoderm but don't quite understand this. Btw,

does photoderm also work for milder redness, that is still very

visible?

As I understand it, in my capacity as photoderm patient, the pulses of light

penetrate the skin and find the darkest targets available to deposit their

energy. For rosacea these targets are the bloods vessels. They basically

kill the vessels dead, I think. For superficial redness, they use one

setting. For flushing they use a much deeper pulse which gets into the

deeper flushing vessels.

Anyone: correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Personally, I've had great improvement from 7 (costly) photoderms. Actually,

the most improvement for me has been in flushing. I flush much less

frequently, and it's much more managable when I do.

I still have superficial redness. But Sy's ZINCO covers that nicely

without making me look as if I'm in drag. I feel I look better. I'm glad I

can (barely) afford the treatments.

Good luck.
