I'm glad Tony saw improvement, but just wanted to let you know, I

did not. I wanted one for several reasons- I have highlighted hair

and it is supposed to help hair color from fading, but I could see no

difference - I also have very dry skin, and its supposed to help with

that, again, I could tell no difference- and lastly, I thought it

might help with my rosacea, but you guessed it, no improvement.I

think its another one of those things that sound great in theory, and

we'd really like it to work, but unfortunately doesn't. N.

could it be the filter is not working effectively? can you test the

hardness of the water pre and post filter installation?

Actually, I'm not sure this should be written off......I have been doing

some experimenting with using distilled or purified water (have not

purchased a filter yet...) and find that when I go back to washing/rinsing

with tap water my face starts to get very flaky again. I switch back to

distilled/purified and indeed the flakes/dry patches go away. My skin also

is calmer and softer with the distilled......if you I use tap for several

days in a row, I start to see some red irritation returning.

My skin is excellent right now and one of the benefits has been that I find

I can isolate the cause of rosacea troubles more easily since I'm starting

from a more " normal " base. (whereas before there were so many issues I

couldn't always tell what was causing what....)

Just saw this after posting a response to nona's post on chlorine......I

tend to conclude as Stacey has, that it depends on the quality of water

(maybe even the pipes???) because once I tried using distilled water and

found no real difference in my face. About six months ago I moved to another

city and my skin started getting really dry and flaky.........as I just

posted, now the distilled water usage is making a huge difference.
