Guest guest
Hi, everybody. Thanks for your help with my question about greasy nose pores. I've got another one for you. I remember reading somewhere, perhaps it was on this list, about what someone referred to as " rosacea footprints. " They were talking about the dark discolored marks left on the skin after papules and rosacea rashes clear up. Do these ever go away or are they permanent scars? Is it important to keep putting metrocream or something else on them to help them fade even when your rosacea outbreaks are under control? I've had some of these on my cheeks for over a year now and they haven't really changed much. But then I haven't been putting anything on them. I think I made the mistake of waiting too long to see a doctor about my rosacea, allowing the rashes from the initial breakout to stay around for a couple months before getting treatment. With treatment, metrocream cleared them up in about a month and I haven't had any more outbreaks, but unfortunately, I still have these dark marks. They're only slightly darker than my skin-tone. Sort of brownish, not red. I really hope these go away.
