Guest guest
I am a newbie and read on this site for information. I also post once in a while hoping for some quick answers from some people more knowledgeable than myself about this diet. I have read BTVC several times and keep it on my desk - - opened, usually - - and refer to it often. I have perused many websites including Elaine's and am a member of a couple of groups relating to the SCD. In dealing with a mercury poisoned, highly allergic, non-sleeping, high needs 11 month old, (and her 2-yr. old sister) I often forget things I may have read. (I, too, have a mercury poisoned brain that I am trying to heal as well.) As a graduate student once, I could remember many things. Not so much anymore. Instead my brain is filled with worry for my daughter. I spend every single free second reading and studying in the hopes of finding something that will help her before she is diagnosed with ASD. So . .. I apologize for sometimes asking a " newbie " question. Twice, I have asked questions only to be mocked or replied to in a less-than-informative manner. Perhaps this is just the personality of some of the members of this group. However, other newbies (myself included) may be able to educate someone else through what we learn here and an answer like " NO " does not feel like a response meant to educate or support. Am I wrong in assuming that this group is for education and support? ~Terri NEWBIE SCD WEEK
